126MAY 5 Thurs 1910
Lovely sunny day, but cold.
Met Mary & Bess (in new suits) B. has written to
Cape Cod, engaging room for me Aug. 8. Visited with
Mrs. Pringle a little while tonight. Father read to us. Fri 1911
Lovely day.
Harriette
went to lunch with Mrs. Hubbard & this
p.m. they took Mother auto=ing &
stopped for me at 3:30. We went later to Claude's tea (on the lawn) to the
Lyceum players - (see mem.) It was lovely). Later I walked to our church & had supper with
Mother & then she and I went down
& called on Edith J. (&
Miss Hosey, of course)
Sun 1912
Rain some but lovely smelling
bud bursting spring. I changed furniture all around. Put a side seat in
the den &c. Went to Claude's to
dinner - Chan up & feeling better
but in a dark room. Mrs. Willard is leaving to go
"demonstrating" (at $75 a month expenses) & Mary
says she'll stay. A trained nurse came to take care of Chan. Nana
left this a.m. Mother & I walked
home (thro' the park) & I read, wrote & visited Marguerite.
Mon 1913
Such a gorgeous Spring! Lovely
weather all the time. Claude's house
is beautifully fixed up. Jim is to have
a beautiful new one. Mother & I
are so comfortable here. We all
ought to be happy. I like my den room best of all of
them.
Tues 1914
Pouring rain! but Mother & Mrs.
Baker
entertained the Autumn Chapter at the
Chapter Room YWCA. Ruth
came down & made coffee &c. and Lura
& I waited on the 15 ladies about 4:45. It rained harder and harder and at a little before 6 Jim "rode" us home. flinch tonight
