Mon 1910 Very strenuous. Jim sick in a.m. Rafael
, Vickers & Hoyt here. Specif- ications done over &c. Lovely evening with Bess & Mame at Shubert. The new Theatre Co. in "Sister Beatrice" & "Don" - fine. Frank F. Jim, Chat & Mr. Vick, Geo. Perkins, Letitia & the "Mayor", Pomona D. &c. &c. One a lovely picture & the other a great play magnificently acted.
Tues 1911 I felt so forlorn & "what's the use" this a.m. & if Claude didn't come down & suggest Letitia & the children & I go to Bermuda & he wd pay my expenses! The rest of the day was excitement. I think we sail on saturday! Marguerite was over tonight full of news & gossips (Frieda) &c. She offered to lend me her new scotch to wear! Served, wrote & finished the last Arnold Bennett. Thurs 1912 Lovely. Went over to the hospital donation this noon. They had lovely things. A picture show tonight! Mother say she's better. Secured some & read tonight - the girls went over to a "demonstration" Fri 1913 Lunched with Mary Gridley and Bertha Gutman and had a good time at Sibley's. Mother rented the up stairs room to Ruth DuRow (?) Sat 1914 Met Irene & her sister Helen
at the womans city club. (Seneca) So crowded we went to Sibley's to lunch (so did Edith
& Miss. Elsworth) and then back to hear the speaches (Industrial) Tonight Edith
, Florence & Irene spent before my fire. It was lovely. We had sherbet & talk & tho' cordial & a sweet quilt time. Florence is feeling bad. She & CU. both phoned me this p.m.
