105APRIL 14 Thurs. 1910
Lovely day. Lunched with
Mary & Bess at Sibley's
(by the window) and practically decided to go to
Cape Cod. We had a nice talk and shopped too. Went to
the Hippo. tonight & saw the "Wizard of Oz"
(awfully good) & other good things. Stopped at Miss
Short's for a fitting and then washed a few dishes. Went over
to Meta's (only saw Theo & left check) and read
"Keziah" till 10:30. Then wrote Cecil Kimball
has twins!
Fri. 1911
Nicely busy with
specifications today. James
gave me his photograph for an Easter
present. It poured this noon on my new suit, too!) but cleared off
beautifully tonight. Nice weather now. Went to Hippo
and this evening cross-stitched till 10:30. Then read half an hour
before bed.
Sun. 1912
I didn't go up to CF's to dinner because we'd advertised a
room. Mother went & I went up
later. Had a nice little visit from Claude,
just back from Deerfield, Boston
& N.Y. Took the boys for a walk in Mt.
Hope - but it rained. Then went to Edith's (she wasn't home) to Lura's while I found Mary & Nellie - to Mrs. Bridgman's to get my
package - & walked me the way home. Feel pretty "blue" (like old times)
Read "Phroso" later.
Mon. 1913
Lunched with Edith today at
Sibley's and she told me how she didn't
want to live with her stepmother &c. &c. and I symphatized with
her.
Tues. 1914
Lovely morning. Mother & I rode down with
Jim & got paper for Mother's bedroom. I rode home with him
tonight too. Hemeny &
Chan went out to Nana's (Knowlton's) & C.
got rather tired & a cold. I had one too. Went to Cro'nest to stay all night & to bed
early & all slept pretty well "considering".
