211JULY 21 Thurs 1910 Was going to have Mother & Jo to lunch this noon but it was very threaten- ing (thunder storms near) at noon so they both phoned they wouldn't come. Had a nice little visit with Father to night & such a good supper when I got home hot Sally Lewis - baked potatoes &c. Sewed tonight & wrote & read a little. Now I'm going to sleep in the den. Fri 1911 Nice day - Showers late this pm & a cool evening. Lunched with Alice Bradshaw who told me about her wedding plans - about the office and various other things - went to the Hippodrome tonight (good) and sewed, packed, took a bath &c. Motherread "Miss Gabbie Gall" aloud while I sewed. Sun 1912 Slept in Mother room (Peter too!) & late this am. A hard shower early & cloudy & showery & cheery all day. Got breakfast before 9 & 10. Looked over & fixed up clothes &c. Wore my new foulard up to Claude's to dinner. Had a nice chat with Jo afterward. I never saw Henry more charming - in his long white trousers & his lovely suit! Came home to sew(!) get supper & finally read in bed. Ruth Buelte
at Home. Hosp.
Mon 1913 A gorgeous morning. We had lots of time before the boat went. Dem went to Lakeville with us & Mrs. Edwards & Kitty, the Bailey boy, the little sweet girl ( Vendulip
) & "Nancy" were on. A fine ride. Home to lunch & then to the office & tonight to Cro'nest to see sweet Eugenie (& Claude & the boys) came down by way of Jim's house. Found Chattie here. She & Lura go to St. Helena on next week, & later Frank & Zoe.
Tues 1914 Mother came down & lunched with me today - Bess & Mary too. Mary is staying down at the YWCA Vacation House at Sea Breeze & I went down & had supper with her & Myra
. Later, they saw me on the car. Most of the girls just coming from Sodus.
