132MAY 11 Wed. 1910
Cold morning with hot looking
red sun (Halley's comet, perhaps, that people are getting upon 3
a.m. to see now a days.) I had lunch at Sibley's with
Klem Goodyear who has been to
N.Y. but didn't have a good time. We had an hour's
visit & tonight I did a puzzle (or part) while
Father read - Mrs.
Farmer was over. The new
Wrattin baby, Edith
, was born today or yesterday?
Mary Mac sent Father a may - basket of violets.
Thurs. 1911 see mem.
Lunched with Bess & Mary & scolded M. good for her intolerance &c (!) Claude and Walter
Hampden are becoming the dearest
friend. Mary, Nellie & I went down to
143 Conkey Ave. tonight & had the [illegible], mint lemonade - a severe thunder and wind storm & a good time -
was very late getting home with a borrowed umbrella
Sat. 1912
Warm sunny in a.m. & warm
& cloudy in pm I went to Meadow wood with Mae & John, Jno. Barker & little
Theodore May (12) Delos was there a young Mr. Gordon
("Virginian" type) had supper with us (at the woodpile) We had a fine time

tired. I haven't walked so much in ages - I must practice more! Read
