83MARCH 23 Wed. 1910
More letters & a gorgeous
yellow azalea &c from
Mrs. Buell. Lovely day - but Father not very well. The Perfects (except Edith) came up
tonight & we did have a lovely time.
Mabel did her "stunts" and we had
pineapple sherbet out for Mother's Xmas
glasses & cake & macaroons on her new plates &c. Kept at it till
very late & then up till one & writing &c. &c.
Thurs. 1911
Another bleak day.
Came home at noon & tonight finished "Lady Merton, Colonist"
- which I like very much. Bed late.
Sat. 1912
I worked most of the day.
Lunched with Lura at Sibley's
& left about 4:30. Alice came.
Soon after seven - with Gurdon - &
after our late supper we "talked California".
Sun. 1913 Easter. Not very pleasant. CFB
away so Mother& I lunched dined at the Homestead
& Minette
with us. We came home soon after & it poured all the rest
of the afternoon and evening. Read "The Sacred Fount" &
the magazines. Bath & bed early.
Mon. 1914
Lunched with Bess & Mary at
Sibley's today & then tried to pick out
dress material. Tonight Mary Mac
& Nellie came up. And spent an
hour or so. Ruth
was out. Henry goes to
school tomorrow for the first time after mumps!
