210JULY 20 Wed 1910 Very busy writing a brief for JG. Lovely day. Gave a luncheon at Sibley's for Mabel, Lura & Mary. It was very pleasant & jolly. Saw Bess & Mary there too. Hospital at night - & then home to callers Mrs. Allen - Katherine Caring & Mrs. Rowe. Then helped Leslie
& Frieda (& Anita
) hang pictures & came home & sewed till hours. Got the childrens Sunday pictures (with Jo) They are fine.
Thurs 1911 Still nice weather. Ideal for vacation. Mother had a postal from the bride & groom - from Montreal. Mabel came in this noon & made quite a long call. She is getting out her third book - sells about 100 copies a month of the others (clearing $20.00) Sewed &c. tonight. Feel pretty "miserable" headache & numb foot (shoes too big.) Plan here. Sat 1912 Still pleasantly cool. Mother started off for Chestnut Hill & Pulaski & Oswego at 10:25. Lunched with Lura & we went to see Vaughan Glaser in "Mary Jane's Pa" Then I came home & later went to Lura's to supper again & Edith came home after 1st half. Marguerite was on the car & said her Mother had gone to D.
in Dr. Andrews Auto. He brought Ruth Brente
down for an operation "for appendicitis".
Sun 1913 A beautiful day - especially as to sky - after a hard night of coughing by Mother. Mannin went off to Mass with Fred Yarrington. A lovely Hydroplane came up the lake twice. Charles took me rowing & we see it close. A hard shower during dinner. I had a nap before & Mother after - a little walk with Mr. Willard & a nice visit all the time. A lovely sunset & a cozy fire inside morning & night. Mon 1914 Mother & I took the 8:30 boat & Mate went to the foot with us - A nice day - we found it rather warm here & I was very busy. Claude getting ready to go to Deerfield with Eugenie on Thursday. Bed early
