118APRIL 27 Wed 1910 Lovely morning - Cloudy later. Home to lunch Mary & Bess came up with coat &c. (which was to go to Phila.) Had Parry's St. Louis pictures. Geo. H. walked with me this a.m. to Hippo. bought & the little lunch plan then to Lyceum to "Inconstant George". Saw Edna & the husband (& others) there. Rode home with Meta & Theo. She talked about Frieda's taking Mrs. Pringle's flat. Wrote late, of course. Thurs 1911 Hot today. Walked down with Marguerite and inquired about the Alexandria. Had breakfast down town & dinner with Bess & Mame at Sibley's (a big one!) Tonight wrote ever so many letters. Very busy with specifications! Got 3 telegrams from Reinhardt
about them and Tappan got one. He spends next week in N.Y.
Sat 1912 Bright but cold & bleak. My Saturday to work & I was busy. Shopped some when I got through and spent the evening at home. Lunched with Bess. Sun 1913. A rainy day. Harriette Corse came (from Calif) while we were eating breakfast. Lydia
got the dinner & Claude & the boys were down Mrs. Hubbard came up at noon. We all visited all p.m. & took H down to Hubbard's tonight & staid to supper (onions) saw Ruth
's lovely things & her dog Chinko & came home in a pouring rain. I like them all very much. Gurdon is in Detroit about selling his patent warmer.
Mon 1914 Warmer. Moved the roll-top desk into draughting room so I have an "office" now! The Stricklands moved in down stairs. I got home early - with Jim & the auto. Read, Cross-stitched &c. Miss Muir here with Ruth K. Bath & bed betimes.
