106APRIL 15 Thurs 1910
Fine April day - tried to
shower tonight but didn't succeed very well. Home to lunch & tonight
did some errands. Mabel Brooks learned of Alice
's diamond! Went over to Mrs. Rowe's a little
while tonight. A man
Mr. Fletcher - came to look at the upstairs room (in
Burke's store he is) I sewed - read a
little & chased cats in tonight. The babies were down to see
Gran'ma this p.m. Good as gold!
Sat 1911
Clear & windy. The
dear boy got home this morn- ing. I
stopped at noon - went over to Sibley's
& had a visit with Mr. Bun
& then came home & worked on bibs all p.m. It snowed
some(!) Margueritewas over a little
while & brought some candy. Kath
& Fred have gone to
Gettysburg for easter. Jo is going abroad this summer.
Mon 1912
Warm day and a beautiful
thunder & hall shower this p.m. The children went to the
Temple Theatre for MrBilly Little's birthday party (he's 5) Letitia was in this a.m. Had quite a visit
with Theo tonight. The
Leaches
are building a "garage" back of 34. Mrs.
Caring
came in tonight to tell us about Elsie's successful "demonstrating" week at Hampton -
Va. Tues 1913
Warm & pleasant. Lunched
with Bess & Mary this noon at Sibley'sand we had a nice visit. Saw
"Prisoner of Zenda" at Gordon Theatre
- good.
Wed 1914
Walked down to Jim's this a.m. & he took me out to
Judson's later. Then I went "dog hunting" with
Clarence
later at the day, & rode home. So I had "quite some rides"
Ruth
back & she & I went to see Geo Arliss
in "Desreali" (2nd time for me) Chan quite sick - had Dr. & I feel pretty "rocky"
too.
