Lovely day. Got a new lamp
shade today. This p.m. made prints & about 4 rode out with Mother, Helen
& Jim in the Ford to
the Rush Gate House (Miss Gray's) & had
a most delicious codfish & chicken supper. Went egg shopping first. The
dinner was fine (my treat) Later Jim
& I walked way round the reservoir & saw a must lovely blue and
magenta sunset - green & purple cabbages in the fore ground &
blue smoky hills & pink clouds back. J
& H came in a little while.
Sun 1914
Rainy but cleared. The whole
crowd rode down to the dam. Some went to church & some walked &
shopped & ate ice cream &c. &c. Had quite a jolly time after
dinner had a nap a read & then wrote. Later walked up the trail & to
"Bert's" (Bonta's) camp. Where we found his
Victrola & played the "Dill Pickle Rags." In the evening he
brought it down to the camp fire & Mr. &
Mrs. Adams & Mr. &
Mrs. Bush did gay stunts with it. Had a lovely row
around the Island earlier. Lovely moonlight tonight.
