59FEBRUARY 28 Mon 1910. Soggy horrid day but I went to the office (see mem). Lillian is suffering terribly. J.W. wasn't very hard on me & the boys seemed glad to see me. Rode down with John this a.m. He says they are to make #40 over into a Boston flat, & with Amelie this p.m. She told me some most astonishing things (see mem.). Verifying my worst suspicions of last summer. After supper went to Meta's & had a nice little visit. She is certainly a brick. Tues 1911 Some neuralgia today. Gurdon - came to breakfast & hustled his mother off in a taxi to the 8:46 train. She stops a little while with Miss Bradley in Syracuse. I came home to lunch - went to [illegible] - & tonight to the Hippodrome. After supper wrote & did accounts. &c. Now to read new magazines. Wed 1912 Managed to get down today. Dr. McI
put my new bridge on this a.m. & fixed up (cleaned &c) my teeth this p.m. Between times I was busy enough up stairs. Claude went to Canandaigua this a.m. (& took Henry). Tonight Mrs. Everett (from Mrs. Farmer's house) made a long & pleasant call. Sewed, wrote & read &c. Feel better tonight.
Fri 1913 Minette
came over and spent the evening. Sewed &c. She is going to "The Homestead" to live. Is very amusing - Lydia
is going to take a friend with her from here.
Sat 1914 Pleasant wildish day. Lunched at the "Blue Kitchen" & met Ruth
& went to "Stop Thief" at the Lyceum (top) It was a funny fool- force. We shopped afterwards (dining room curtains &c.) and then I came home & changed & went to Cro'nest to dinner (such a good one) Eugenie in bed & looking pretty. The boys with their new type- writer, "navy" warships and "destroyer".
