46FEBRUARY 15 Tues. 1910
Gloomy lamp day. Lunched
alone at Duffy, & then went over
to Louise Stowell's Studio to see Ethel Mundy's wax miniatures & fans
&c. Lovely - [illegible]
were there. Met Ethel later. Staid
down tonight went to Hippodrome & then plowed home
& went to the Lyceum (top) to
"A Fool there was" (Kipling's
"Vampire") by Robt Hilliard. It was fine yet
fearful. I was simply used up when I fell into bed!
Wed. 1911
Nice day.
Reinhardt & Pfau
were in this pm. I didn't feel good a bit tonight & went to bed
rather early. Meta broke her ankle
down at the bay on skis & Leslie hurt his knee.
Mrs. Donohugh down stairs with the 3 children. Went
to see Mr. [illegible]
in the Cutler Bldg about a place for
Dolores.
Thurs. 1912
Still, wintry day,
No. 3 School
burned up very quickly about 11:30. Over 700 children & 20 teachers
marched out quietly just before. I lunched with
Lura. Read & played flinch tonight.
Sat. 1913
Bright but rather windy.
Lunched with Lydia
at Cafeteria & went to a picture
show & saw Capt. Scott (just reported dead) on his
way to the South pole. In the evening the Perfects at
Mabel's. She gave her "Perfects" monologue (the only time)
Sun. 1914
Sunny & fine after the
Storm - deep snow. Home with cats, dishes & music box this a.m. &
dinner at home After dinner I fixed one of my photo - books and then
went up to Cro'nest to see Mal & the boys. Drew Chan from Ruliffson's on tobaggan & saw dear Henry charming on bed & talking about "Youths"
&c. Staid till 8 or so. Eugenie
