46FEBRUARY 15 Tues. 1910 Gloomy lamp day. Lunched alone at Duffy, & then went over to Louise Stowell's Studio to see Ethel Mundy's wax miniatures & fans &c. Lovely - [illegible] were there. Met Ethel later. Staid down tonight went to Hippodrome & then plowed home & went to the Lyceum (top) to "A Fool there was" (Kipling's "Vampire") by Robt Hilliard. It was fine yet fearful. I was simply used up when I fell into bed! Wed. 1911 Nice day. Reinhardt & Pfau were in this pm. I didn't feel good a bit tonight & went to bed rather early. Meta broke her ankle down at the bay on skis & Leslie hurt his knee. Mrs. Donohugh down stairs with the 3 children. Went to see Mr. [illegible] in the Cutler Bldg about a place for Dolores. Thurs. 1912 Still, wintry day, No. 3 School burned up very quickly about 11:30. Over 700 children & 20 teachers marched out quietly just before. I lunched with Lura. Read & played flinch tonight. Sat. 1913 Bright but rather windy. Lunched with Lydia
at Cafeteria & went to a picture show & saw Capt. Scott (just reported dead) on his way to the South pole. In the evening the Perfects at Mabel's. She gave her "Perfects" monologue (the only time)
Sun. 1914 Sunny & fine after the Storm - deep snow. Home with cats, dishes & music box this a.m. & dinner at home After dinner I fixed one of my photo - books and then went up to Cro'nest to see Mal & the boys. Drew Chan from Ruliffson's on tobaggan & saw dear Henry charming on bed & talking about "Youths" &c. Staid till 8 or so. Eugenie didn't come as her father is sick. Had chops (Ruth
cooked) when I came home.
