77MARCH 17 Thurs. 1910. Bright but very Marchy - cold sunshine (15 degree this a.m.) . Interviewed a man at Vandeventer's about our room to rent. At noon called on Edith at the new offices & took some books to Carol for Ethel Flack who had a horseback accident Saturday. Father read & Mother & I played flinch tonight. Mean to go to bed early
new things for a new [illegible].
Fri 1911 Still cold & horrid. Came home at noon. They think Amelie's "lump" was only a fibrous tumor. Wrote her. Did a little X=stitching tonight. Not much business for me today in office Sun 1912. Everybody watching the river tonight. & they are blasting the ice btwn Clarissa & Court St. I went down to see Edith, but just I got out of the car Reg Flack came along with his pony & asked me to ride so I did for an hour or two - way out the Ridge - He tried to run away twice (!) came back to Lura's & had a nice dinner with her & Mrs. B. Home about ten p.m. Sat Mon 1913. Promised fine this a.m. but turned out showery. Came home rather early. Somebody trimmed up the "Isle of Safety" in green today. Miss Maud McNair (a nurse) Came to the upstairs room. Read tonight. Tues 1914. Warm & Nice. Cad lunched with me & we shopped a little. Trudy's 's birthday. Tonight went with Ruth
& Called on Hamilton & Milly Davis & Addie McIntosh at 33 Belmont St. Ice went out this p.m.
