Warm day & sunny &
depressing. Home to lunch & to Mrs. Short's (still
sick) To dog show this p.m. and then home to dress & to
"The Pillars of Society" - opening night. Mrs.
Fiske. with Mary &
Nellie,
Mabel was down today - in her new suit.
& looked will - Saw Mrs. Hertzberger &
Millie. Baltzel at the dog show. Which
was very good & very large. Pauline Morton had a
collie in
Fritz Ward com- mmited suicide this morning.
Fri. 1911 mem.
Clear & fine but not warm. Letitia
brought the boys down for half an hour & I rode up with them.
Mrs. Ely Buell
was in the car & talked to us. Tonight went to
Hippo & Bess
& Mary came up in the evening. It
was cool enough for a grate fire & we enjoyed it. Bath & bed rather

More visiting. Alice looks fine. She went to
Hubbard's to dinner & Mother & I went to Cro'nest. The boys were dear. Came
home with both of them & sent them back on the car alone. Alice & Gurdon
came back just after and after supper Gurdon went & brought Ruth Hubbard up!
Mon. 1913 Miss McNair left to take charge of an Orphan Asylum cottage!
Claude back. Busy day. Lunched with
Bess & Mary at
Cafeteria. Accounts &c tonight. More rain.
Omaha struck on a cyclone or something.

Bright. Went to the
Mechanics with Mother this noon about her wash dress &
my taffeta suit saw, Edith,
Miss Mier, Miss Stubbs, Miss
Haycock,
Ruth Duroe &c. Ruth K. at
no. 18 last week & this.) This p.m. went to
Mead's (last time) with Jim &
Herbert Stern. We had to walk the last mile
(I caught a ride with Helen Parnell
& her father) The house is awfully papered. Read aloud a
little while tonight but was very tired. Wrote
some.
