I heard it rain this a.m. (in
bed) but it had stopped) & there were lovely clouds & lakes of
sunshine - &. wind later. Marguerite walked up the river road & thro to edge of
G.V. Park to the Aviation field
and saw Johnstone's biplane & Mr. Eels. Who
has had two misharp lately - the mechanician showed us. It was a fine
walk. After a good dinner went over to see
Chattie - Mrs. Bridges
was there. Dear little Frances too
train -. I read 2 McClures thro - and some more things &
tended furnace fires & cats. Miss my [illegible] Mon 1911
Much cooler & pleasant
Busy of course. Called on
Jim at noon. didn't fell first rate - too
much Niagara water or Dutch [illegible]
& queen Did my accounts wrote &c at night
Claude invited the
Hampdens to stop here on their way to
Chicago to act in
R.H. Davis' " Black mail" Read aloud Bed Early

Got Mother into my room this a.m. Was home till
after noon Baked bread (!) &c. Lydia
helped.
Mother more comfortable.
Claude had to go N.Y.

tonight late went to the "basket lunch" at on church with Mother this noon & out to
Florence's new house (18
Belmont) to supper thought. Had a real good time. All the
Facility and Fred Chapman (star boarder-in
Eastman's) were there. Baorrowed 3 books
Fri 1914
Lunched with Florence & had a nice chat, but she is
restless - I am intensely intersted in this 3 - cornered love affair -
Florence - Irene - Edith S. &. I'm
getting drawn into it myself. Irene
phoned me today - Mother and I went to
Cro'nest to dinner - or
Norman Zelle. Channie's
charming invented name - of -a -place (mem).
