123MAY 2 Mon. 1910
Off at 7:50 on "Flyer"
(Edith & Dr.) Jno. Gregory Frank[illegible] & wife & Mary
Bryant & Will Corris - gave them some
of Edith's fudge & talked a little. Read
"Hawkins". Lazy all day. Saw Lura & Mary. Home
to lunch. To Hippo at night. Marguerite
over & I there - Amelie came for a
long visit. Showery - too much so for our auto ride. Read a little &
wrote later.
Tues. 1911
Busy. Someone sent Claude tickets to the
Shubert
& I took Mrs. Baker to see
"The Lily" - all unpleasant things. The production was
quite a contrast to the Lyceum
Players - who are so finished and so fine. All college men and all
"stars". It was awfully cold. Claude to supper. The babies were home!
Thurs. 1912
Lovely spring day.
Channie - boy has the
measles - poor baby! Nana is
coming in tomorrow & we have sent for Miss
Jaquish. Stayed late with CFB to write an Art Building
letter. Read, sewed some & wrote some tonight. I sleep in the den
every night now & like it.
Fri. 1913
Warm & pleasant. Lunched
with Mary & Bess
at Sibley's. Worked rather later (after six.)Claude went off for a ride with a
German architect here. Went to Cobb's
Hill with Lydia
around the reservoir. To the chestnut woods &
Judson's Sat. It was breezy & beautiful. Bed
rather early. Rowes
getting ready to move.
Sat. 1914
Lovely day. Rode home at noon
in auto. Dressed up & went with Mary
D. to see the Vernory
It was simply fine. They are
astonishing people "Everybody" was there. Then we went to the Homeo. Hospital
to see Frances Hutchison (Skipper walked up with us) & then I went to Cro'nest to dinner with
Mother - The tea house is well along.
