49FEBRUARY 18 Fri 1910
Cold beautiful winter day
& moonlight night.
Henry spent the day with his Grandmother
as Ethel M. is still working on
Channie. I lunched with Bess & Mary at Sibley's & had
a nice little visit. Later had one also with Mary &
Charella (on the 4th fl.) & Lura. Tonight went to a most interesting
Theosophical meeting at Cro'nest.
Mr. Cooper
& his
questioners. Met Mrs. Tappan then & came down with
the Tappans & Frank Frey. Henry was very good.
Sat 1911
Last night was like old times
- awake till one or so with neuralgia. Finally got to sleep
in den. Today it was rather bad, too
Jim said he'd "keep shop" - so I came home
after a late lunch at Sibley's &
read "Open House" (Juliet Wilbor Tompkins) on the
couch - most of the afternoon & evening. Felt better at bed time
& slept first rate. (see mem)#
Sun 1912.
Quite warm & melty. Went
up to dinner early - Channie is sick -
looks like measles. Alice Mer waited on us.
Later Henry,Adeline
& I went to the Conservatories
& took a walk in the park.
Stopped at Amelie's
coming down - &
she told me how sick Herma has been.
Meta may go down there. Later
wrote, & read &.
Tues 1913
Nice day. Went out to
Gilmore's house with Jim this p.m. Mrs.
G.
was there - I loved it. Tonight Lydia
& I went to see "A widow by Proxy". May
Irwin - as funny and as rather vulgar as ever!
Wed 1914
Have a miserable cold
and Claude told me to stay home this
p.m. which I did. Worked on books & got off my trial balance.
