1 JANUARY 1 Sat. 1910
A nice winter's day.
Father not well. Late breakfast.
Went to Cro'nest & took "Wee Wee" & Channie for a long sleigh ride - to
"cannin
" in Park and around Boul-
evard by tobaggan slide. They read letters on signs. Hurried lunch &
dressing & to new Temple Theatre after forgetting
ticket & going back. Nellie, Mary Mac & Edith. Walked home with Edith saw Xmas presents - &c. gave me a box
of Huyler's. After supper Lura &
Mrs. B.
came for the evening - visited & played flinch & had candy & grape juice. Wrote later. New black
silk dress. Sun. 1911
A rainy sloppy day - after
the very cold ones. I was about sick all day - my
high fever left me rather weak & used up - we had breakfast at ten
& spent the rest of the day on the den couch. Mother went to Claude's
to dinner & brought me "Buried alive" to read - very amusing.
Claude was to go to Foster Warner's new house warming this
afternoon. Mon. 1912 Mother & I went to
Dansville at 9:40. Read "Miss 318"
some of
the way, & the rest talked to Mae Galleger
& "Catty" Edwards met us & we went to
Ed- wards & had a nice chicken dinner & a
visit & then
Mother & I called at the Andrews
& left Thermos bottle as our
presents (& Dr. & the
Davidson kids) called at Dem's & Krem's & then I came back
& had a nice call from Will Clark. Slept till 6 &
after supper they sent a carriage & we went to Edith's
wedding -
a lovely one - at 8:30. She looked lovely. Fine supper &c. jolly time till 11 or so
when we rode home in moonlight. Nice young people.
Will
and Morris played & "Bud"
Hall was there. Wed. 1913.
Lovely mild day. Up late.
Gertrude, Mother & I (G
& I walking) went to Cro'nest to lunch.
Claude at Club. Nana down stairs for the first time in 3
weeks. The boys
Cloudy a.m. but it brightened up & got cold. Fixed my room around.
Elec. light &c. and cleared out closet, dresser & desk &c. Home
all
day. Claude & the Boys
came down
this am, just as Mother got back from
prayer meeting. She went to the YWCA this p.m. I had a fire
& sat by it - loafed & was home all day. Frieda had a family dinner party tonight. All the town go to
George Eastman's big ball tonight! ($25,000.00!)
