216JULY 26 Tues 1910 Father looked just a bit better to me this
a.m. Came home at noon to change my dress - lovely day - & at night
went to the lake at 5:13 with Lura & Edith to
Mary's (cor. Jefferson
Ave. & Lake, White
City) Chattie came on the
next car. Then Mary &
Florence & then Mabel. The tent is lovely & we had such a good
supper - a gorgeous sunset - a nice chat. On the piazza & some of
Mabel's monologues inside. The
Milliner
, the dress maker, saying goodbye &c. The
girls Walked to the car with us about ten. Charlotte & the fireworks lovely in the distance.
Wed 1911
Rather cloudy &
threatening part of the time & went up to Cad's to lunch - a nice chat by her library window. Went
over to say goodbye to the Rowe's tonight.
It poured. Mother and I had a nice fire in the grate & spent the
evening in front of it - with the cats.
Sun 1912
Up before breakfast &
wrote letters & postals in the summer house. Read down in the dock
house. Afterwards and then took a lovely walk with Mr.
& Mrs. Ullman - up toward cedar Lake.
After dinner read & before & after supper talked to
Mrs. Fraser & her friend. She is an interesting
woman. After supper there was a concert - impromptu & other wise & a
children's Kimona party.
Sat 1913
Warmer, busy. Jim took me home in the Auto this noon,
via. the oil store & 4 corners (!) Went
with Bess & Mary"Capt" & little
Peggy to
Sea Breeze vacation house, to supper &
some of us for a swims (not use.) It was delightful - came home by a
lovely sunset. The new dormitory "sleeps" 25 but had 36 in it!
Little Peter Pan

Mon 1916
