134MAY 13 Fri. 1910 Cold but bright. Lunched with Mary & Bob, Mrs. Beck Perkins asked Mary to come this with her! Mrs. Arthur Davis has asked me out to Chili with the 4 leaf Clover club! Mary & I had quite a walk & talk. I was busy & headachey this pm. I got very tired. Saw Chattie at Sibley's with Mr. Vick. Was going to see the lilacs tonight but it was too cold - so went to Hippodrome - saw "Forsaken" - very good. Walked home to late supper & a long visit with Mrs Pringle (& Mr.) Their furniture goes tomorrow (The rest of it.) The cats look so cute in their circus. Henry & Chan. Went to Jessie Tappan this a.m. Sat. 1911 Cool but lovely & blossomy. Lunched with Bessalone and helped her buy a bathing suit - went to Hippo (very good & to Lura's & then out to the Park. The kite flying was just over & I saw the last of the polo - was lovely and blossomy. Walked back by the creek & took some pictures after supper went out to 294
Harley St.
to see Martha Rathjen Siemer, whose sister Minnie(Cole) has just died and whose mother is very sick with pneumonia. We had a long talk & she walked most home with me.
Mon. 1912 Busy. Good to have the dear boy back. Frank
still sick. Mr. Stern in back too Henry's measles about the worst, but he is so good. He hasn't broken out as went as Chan did. I built a nice furnace fire tonight - the first in my experience - quite easy too. A cold night. Meta's Wedding day.

. Lydia

Wed. 1914 Not any nicer today. Cold & rainy. Went to Mechanics to have my black dress fitted today & at night to a "sale" (bought a cake) but didn't stop. Read in evening awhile.
