302OCTOBER 20 Thurs 1910 Jno. was in for the Frey bids - & the boys are delighted with the prospect of new tenants. Big Firemen's parade this p.m. I saw it from Lura's - (& Cutler's) The Boys were invited to Mrs. Little's. Helped do a big puzzle over at Rowe's to- night. Miss Canaby (of Glasgow St.) was there. Fri 1911 A foggy morning. but nice. Mother took Mrs. S. to Cro'nest in our auto. (& Jim) and then got the boys & started for a long ride but Hammond broke down on Cobb's Hill & they took the car to the station. I lunched with Bess & had a nice chat. Mother & I both rather done up tonight. I sewed & she went to bed. Early! Mr. Grueby & "Billy Graves" here. Tile for station let. Sun 1912 This day is to stand out like the day on the Lete
Noir! It was gorgeous !! Lydia
& I started at 8 & went to Portageville (a glorious ride). Walked to the high bridge & down the entrancing glen. Never lovelier - Glen Iris, where we had a delicious dinner with Miss. Bishop (Mr. Letchworth's secretary - he died in Dec. 1910) & Miss Howland (his niece who knows the Woodruff's of Auburn. Nice time [illegible] lots of Rochester people. The p.m. was even lovlier than the a.m. We went to the lower fall [illegible]. (see mem)
Mon 1913 Rode down with the boys this a.m. Lunched at the "Manhattan" for a change! We have a new man in the office. One of the King boys who used to live on Reynold St! Corrected Claude's proof tonight. Tues 1914 Mother spent the day (till 10pm) With Mrs. Conklin & Mrs Blackledge. I lunched with Margaret Bradshaw & later with Florence and at 4 & after went up to East High for Irene Winans and we took a lively walk together - out to Blossom anyway & the Pen- field Rood & in East ave. 4 or 5 miles came in late and tired & hungry & feeling fine! She said nice things to me & told me her troubles.
