20JANUARY 20 Thurs. 1910. Lunched with dear Father & Mother at Sibley's today. Busy at night went to moving pictures & then out to Matie Hawley's where I met Lura & a lot of children - Hobart

Fri 1911 Hattie McCurdy Spencer was over to Rowe's this noon & came over here a few minutes. She looks very well - Is living with her husband at the Touraine (?) in Buffalo. Hughie is at Cornell. Went to Hippo tonight & read "Everybody's"
& "Self control"
- which Meta lent me - tonight
Sat 1912 Lunched with "Mary Dickey" & saw Frances & Frank &. Finished & sent off Osburn
Stuff this p.m. was busy till late & rather tired. Came right home & spent the evening reading by the fire & played flinch with dear Mother too.
Mon 1913 Rain & horrid. Tappan here (after 2nd Baptist Church!) and Eugenie, on her way back home - for a few hours only, which she & Claude spent on the hill, with the children.

& I went (in the rain) to all illustrated lecture on "India" tonight, at the Lyceum.
Tues. 1914 Very foggy. It was lovely to watch it creep across the valley. A letter from Alice (& from Mother) Saying Gurdon & Ruth
are to be married the 5th of Feb! Went by the greenhouses for flower for Dem. Then to Sanford's to looked [illegible] the little office & visit a little (Ruth
goes to Spain in April). Then to Mrs. Rowe's to say goodbye. Had a a tonic at 11:40. Dressed & at 12:45 (late) lunched with Lucie [illegible] Historical Soc. & my Dansville friends (Laura made wild on "Alex,[illegible]) in the pen. A lovely massage & then a hair shampoo. [illegible] - picture with [illegible] words - phone May & Dr A. & then 1/2 an hour of Mme Butterfly & Lucie D. in the chapel & a talk - gave her Man the
&c.
