175JUNE 23 Thurs 1910. Still warm. Dr. Jewett coming everyday now but Father up & around but very lame with rheumatism in his left leg. Fred & Jack over a while to- night. We sat out doors & talked & they took off the linen closet door for Mother. Fri 1911 Cooler today. Strung vines this a.m. Jimwent to Canandaigua this p.m. Claude came home from Cleveland about seven. I lunched with Lura at Sibley's & walked home with her first & then with Miss Sterling. L & I stopped such a nice Japanese store on Clinton St. Lura got a new foulard dress at McCurdy. Read aloud from McClure's tonight (& to my self.) Sun 1912 Lovely day. I moved into the "den" which was quite a performance. And fixed up my room to rent. Gave Mother my mahogany dresser - fixed bureau drawers &c. &c. Had my lunch at home. Rested an hour or so and then took a bath & went out to Chattie's to supper. We were alone & we had a nice old-fashioned visit. Frank & Frances came home early in the evening. Had been to Geneseo & the High Banks with Zoe Parker. Mon 1913. Rather used up & sleepy today & went to bed early. Will Wray died yesterday, after a very severe illness, an operation &c. Kidney trouble of some kind (not properly diagnosed). Tues 1914 Very warm. Worked hard till after lunch time (no lunch) & then went down to S.S. picnic at Durand. Eastman Park Mother was there & went back with the Nichols' in Mr. Reiner's car. I came back with Florence
. Frank Gosnell & Edith Mulligan hot. Letitia was in the car. Varnish floors in the evening.
