25JANUARY 25 Tues. 1910 Got a letter from Nan Moore who will come & spend a week from Sunday with me! Lunched down town at Sibley's & then had visit with Mary
, in her office, & with Lura. It was a beautiful day - Mother went driving with the babes (errands) Jack & Fred have decided to go to Jno. Church's to live he's so lonesome since his mother died. Marguerite was over for awhile - then Father read & I did a "Kodak" puzzle & read &c.
Wed 1911 Another mild day. Lunched with Mother at Sibley's - were seated with 'Rastus Vogel and Bess & Mame came later. They are invited to Mosher's (with Capt.) for next July! Saw Milly & Hamilton, coming out. Had quite a long visit with Mary
this p.m. Tonight went to Hippo - made fudge (tho' my teeth ached) & Jack Boyce & Jno. Church came over & helped eat it. Amelie & Donald went to Herma's this noon. Mother went to "Y". CFB to NY.
Thurs 1912 Down to zero again this morning - Sent out "Man the Square"
nearly all day. I bet with Claude Yes- terday (theatre treat) that we wouldn't be getting out a new Edition to the B.N.
in a year. Mother came down with me this p.m. to change her fountain pen. Tonight she & I went to the Shubert to see The Blue Bird. It was beautiful and crowded full of "lessons" appealing now to one & now to another. I liked the unborn children & the Joys best I think. The 2 youngsters who acted were splendid - "me for Maeterlink."
Sat. 1913. Nice day. Found Bessie Looney here this p.m. & had a nice visit with her till after 4 - when she went back to Buffalo. Mother & I had a cozy evening by the open fire Pavilion to spend Sunday. Sun 1914 A lazy day at home - Wasn't all dressed all day. Had a grate fire, read, &c. &c. Henry is just over chicken pox & Chan hasn't it yet. All sat around five tonight. Mother didn't go to church - too slippery
