152MAY 31 Tues 1910 Still cold & disagreeble. Lunched at Sibley's (accidentally with Bess & Mary) & then went to the Hippodrome - a good bill. Tonight saw the comet again. Wrote sewed & read. We still have a furnace fire and need it JG. Went to N.Y. Elsie McDonald left for a better zoo! Wed 1911 Warm at noon - lunched with Nellie Mary & Lura at Sibley's and Mary invited me to the late supper. I went home about 3:30 & then it poured so I couldn't think of going at 5 or at 6. (later it cleared off) Played flinch with Mother and in the evening talked on Rowe's steps and then read "The Broad Hyt way". Fri 1912 We slept late again & all feel rested after yesterday's quiet. It rained the a.m. Did housework &c. The sun came but a little during dinner & this a.m. tonight we took the loveliest walk! "Down the lane" thro' the pastures - over the book, thro' the pine grove. & the woods, down the "glen" &c. &c. Mrs. B. ("Ida") Mr. B ("Chio") Bess & Mary "Kitty Gray" (the cat) & "Sport" (the dog. About 3 miles & showed think. Took pictures Another nice evening by the fire. X-stitched! Sat 1913 A gorgeous day but a busy one. I worked till 5:30! "Herbie" Stern did too in the p.m. Claude brought in Earl Browne of the Manhattan (Lyceum) Co. He was very pleasant. Coralyn
& I dined at Sibley's & then went to see them in "Glad" (Oza Waldrop) very good.
Sun 1914. Lovely day. Windier than yesterday. Slept late. Went to Cro'nest and sat in the tea house with Claude & after. read "William Henry" to the boys in the woods. Wrote a lovely letter Lydia
