19JANUARY 19 Wed. 1910
Slippery morning but fine
day. Home to lunch with Sunday pictures, which are fine - especially
window-seat. Rented corner store to Singer people for 10
years (27,000 in all!) Went to Marguerite's for a long visit after supper & then read
McClure's. Went to G.V. Club
specifications & toothache today. Hamilton
was in, & Mr. Gilmore. home at
noon.
Aunt Melissa is "better" a telegram says.
I got a new suit (brown) this a.m. at Edwards.
Had a nice visit with Meta tonight &
also stopped a minute at Mrs. Rowe's - bed early - then.
Had a nice visit with JW. yesterday. He
was down - on crutches - for the 1st time since before
Thanksgiving.
Fri. 1912
Cooler again. Wrote
Osburn
specifications all day.
Mother came down & went to the cafeteria
to lunch with me. Afterwards we went to Sibley's
& bought her a new fountain pen (safety - like
Alice's) Went to the
Hippo
tonight & after supper wrote to my
Bermuda friends and read. This is
Father's old fountain pen,
Mother found today.
Sun 1913
Cleared off nicely. Mother & I
went to Cro'nest to lunch. Frances
gave out in the midst of dinner. Tho't she had appendicitis
- but revived. I called on the Flacks
in the p.m. (Party call) Then walked home - Seemed to be busy all day.
Claude lectures before Labor

"Swedish movement" rooms with
Mrs. Steele,

& Miss Lamb after breakfast. Then to
