125MAY 4 Wed 1910 A bright clear day - such a contrast to yester- day. Old Mr. Dickerson "showing off the lake" from our new tower. Seel's to lunch (Xtra) & some Hippo &c this noon. Tonight chased cats (the dears) had a little visit with Mrs. Pringle (packing up) and finished "Happy Hawkins" which is certainly fine. Mr. Tappen says my Father is the picture of his. (He was a lawyer in Boston) Thurs. 1911. Bright & fine but cool. Harriette Corse came & I visited with her at noon. Gurdon came to supper and in the evening Jim & Louise Fenner, & we had a great visit. [illegible] - Coris plans. The history of his Armour campaign &c. &c. Staid up late - & slept in Father's bed Sats 1912. Nice day. Lunched at Sibley's with Bess & Mary, Edith & Miss Hubble
(Bess's office) then went with Mother to see "Little Women" at the Shubert. It was fine. Then shopped & went home to supper & dined & I went with Mary & Nellie & Lura to see Raymond Hitchcock in "The Red widow". Edith & Miss Hosey were there also the four-leaf Clover's. It was funny. Read in bed when I got home. Very comfortable in den
Sun 1913. Real warm & fine too. Cozy this a.m. Claude's to dinner (out on the piazza) Chan seems much better. We sat out doors till Lydia
came & there she & I went to Bess & Mary's and for a lovely stroll in their glen - flower - [illegible] &c. Also staid to supper. Marguerite over later Lydia
took pictures.
Mon 1914 Warm & fine & Horse chestnut leaves began to show. Had Nellie to lunch & she told me about Jno.
[illegible] attentions. At night went & "slumming" with Jim in the Auto. Wrote and read &c. Everybody gardening. Had rather a restless night - wide awake. Do not feel well this year
