Nice till toward night when
it rained. Lunched (sumptuously) with Mother at Sibley's &
she went to Autumn Chapter at Mrs. Weaver's.
Hippodrome tonight & then got a bread omelette
for supper & finally read K. Davis'
Outlook story & McClure &c. Doing JG's 1909 accounts!

Lovely till late p.m. when it
rained.
Lura & I went out to Mabel's to lunch a surprise to
Florence
) The girls were all pathetically cheerful and clear. Mother at
Mrs. Payne's to tea. I went to "The Walls of
Jericho" with the [illegible], Bakers
& Bess & Mame
I enjoyed it surely - Mrs Hampden, Mr. H Hampden & the play affected me intensely [illegible][illegible]Mary "frivolous" & made me feel bad

stres- nous went down to the Station to see the two big tresses up at
noon & wrote "Plumbing" Spec. till nearly 5:30 walked down with
Miss Flack
Read tonight. Real "May" Martin. Bend & blessous &
flow birds.
Sat. 1913
Cool & tonight. Busy
morning. Expected to lunch with Coralyn
's guests and they didn't get around, so I went by myself and
then to the matinee "Lady Frederick" very good
company indeed. Sat around in the Went to
Cro'nest to supper. "Pussy
Willow" followed us to Menlo Park. "Sat around"
later.

Walked to Highland Park with Ruth K.
via Cro'nest. Stopped to see
E. &c & the new tea house a
minute. Saw beauteous tulips &c. Back via Jim's backyard. R. took car & I
walked by the river. Rain. Mother out to
dinner &
R. & I got a good time one about 2:30. The boys came
down & I read William Henry letters for two hours.
When they went (more raw) I read "Tante".
