214JULY 24 Sun 1910 Very warm. Went to the Hospital about 10 & staid till after one. Dear Father seems comfortable but weak. Dr. Jewett is feeling rather discouraged about him (his stomach) Went to Cro'nest to dinner had a nice visit with Jo afterwards. The boys went to bed. "Nana" looks brown came home & read & rested till dark.
Then a thunder storm no lights & the music box
Mon 1911 Pouring rain this a.m. but it cleared before I went. Auntie was sick again this a.m. & I left her just revived. Took a cab to the new station & the 9 o'clock train to Syracuse. There a close connection & to Rochester with two babies and their mother going to Astabula. Read. Home to dinner & then to the office in the p.m. Awfully tired - bed early - a big wind storm raging there & on the lake. Wed 1912 Lovely day. Busy up yo Cro'nest at noon to lunch with Jo & the boys. A nice little visit. They are planning to go to Coborg. Tonight did lots of errand and ended up at a picture show. All the evening packed & got ready.Got my trunk down &c. Saw the Rowe's a little while - Marguerite came to tell me that "Sue" Galloway (Alice's) was born at 3:15 this afternoon. Lura & Helen go to 1st St. H. tonight. Thurs 1913 Better than yesterday. Lunched with Lura &c. Eugenie came to the office & met the boys who were delighted with her (especially Stern & Bohachek) Wrote tonight and was in bed. It is cooler. Sat 1914 July 25 Trudy & I packed up & moved storm to Sea Breeze Bluff house this p.m. (Room 12) Bess, Frances H. & her friend "Olive" & Mary & Myra were there (the 1st 3 didn't stay) Then went in bathing & we sat on the bluff & talked & worked & Mary read aloud. Saw the girls to the car after supper & sat on bluff till bed time (10 or eleven)
