36FEBRUARY 5 Sat 1910
Staid down again today &
went to Seel's
& Hippodrome. J.W. has been awful the last few day's! Lillian is failing fast. Tonight moved my
things upstairs, fixed grape fruit &c. & did cash ac- counts -
I'm anticipating Nan's
visit - wish
Alice was to be here! all our.
Cutler Bldg. halls are tiled now &
look fine. Claude is in
N.Y. & Jim in
Montreal!
Sun. 1911
Beautiful morning - but cold
- Wld have been fine at the Falls,
went up to Claude's to dinner, the children
in white &
dear. Henry told me
all about "Peter Pan" explained the map &c. &c. &
neither of them would let me turn past the picture of "the big fairies" I took
some pictures & we went home rather early - Minnie
came (from Lovejoys) Later Mary & Nellie came to
our house & we had a nice grate fire & supper & such a nice visit
- the old times - It was cold & black outside
Mon. 1912
Nice Letter from Jim - Who comes home from
Annapolis with his "Helen" today -
a dull dark dreary day -
Celia
came to Cro'nest,
Wrote to Trudy - who has just been to
Oswego on acct. of Mrs. Hine's death -
and now to read "The New Chronicles of Rebecca."
Wed. 1913
Cold & stormy. Had a
nice grate fire tonight and the girls
sat around it & Mother
read letters & later recited "[illegible]". They both
loved it & told how happy they were here.
Thurs. 1914
Nice day - & eventful -
at one I entertained my relatives Claude,
Nan Moore, Mother,
Alice,
Harriette
's & Gurdon's beautiful
marriage ceremony. Then we ate supper with Judge
&
Mrs. Sutherland & Nan (good time), saw the over 300 beautiful presents. Then the
"tango" and then the big reception - till nearly 11. Claude & Marian
