56FEBRUARY 25 Fri 1910
Pleasant. Dressed but didn't
go down this a.m. & hesitated to go this p.m. but finally did &
did blanks a while & listened to Hanna's love
affairs &c. Had a long talk with Lura.
Lillian is just living. Her father is here
again. Feel worse tonight - went to Mrs. Short's to be
fitted - now for a hot bath! Very feverish.
Sat 1911
Bright sunny day. Alice shopped this a.m. & met me &
went to Seneca to lunch (womens club)
Mary & Bess lunched with us. Afterward we went upstairs & to
the Chamber of Commerce to see the station pictures &
to Charlotte with the girls (waded)
Mother,
Alice,G. & I went to Duffy's
to supper. G. had been horse-backing.
In the evening Alice read us
Harriette
's California letters.
Sun 1912
Rather a dark Sunday.
Claude made the boys some lovely
pictures out of colored papers. We took them home with us for the
afternoon (Letitia went to Industry) and
she came to tea & took them home at seven. They were very good but
poor little
Hemeny felt miserable with a hard cold
(like Chandler's last) coming on. Frieda has a cook (with a baby too!)
Tues 1913 Mother greeted me with the news tonight
that Lydia
might leave March 8th. The man wants her to take the [illegible]
farm now. Went for a fitting of my new suit at [illegible].
Wed 1914.
Warmer. Lovely sunny day.
Lunched alone at Sibley's. Rode
up with Jimtonight - early - [& Mother & I dined at Meta's - all the family &
Ethel Manchester were there. It was very pleasant.] This
was Tuesday.
