11JANUARY 11 Tues 1910 A nice winter day. At noon I went up to the hospital to see Lilian Davis & take her "Margaret Ogilvy"
to read - found her looking better than I expected - but pretty sick. Stopped at an East Ave. "tea room" for lunch (no good) Tonight Father read from "Ben Hur" and I finished my pasting. Peter and Tinker
had an "adventure" out doors with Cun- ningham's cat!
Wed 1911. Hemeny was down this a.m. to see "Father's" League drawings which go today. Chan & Nana came later. Minnie
came back last night, is at Mrs. Little's. Home to - lunch. Heavy fog this p.m. & then pouring rain. Mother would go to prayer meetings. I sewed, then wrote & now read. Cats lovely. Laura Arnold had an operation at the Homoeopathic hospital. New ribbon on my typewriter.
Thurs. 1912 Up to 10 degree above zero. Lunched at the "tin horn" (Glenny Bldg") with Bess & Mary. This p.m. had a nice visit with Mary
who has had her salary raised to $1200 - with Claude (about my horoscope) and met Alice Galloway, who came in. Tonight read & sat by the fire, as usual.
Sat 1913 Rather a dull day. Mrs. Macaulay came in this morning & Jim met her & was charmed. She went on at 11:30. This p.m. I shopped &c a little & then came home for a nice afternoon with the family. Tonight Letitia made candy & then we read aloud. Sun 1914 Lovely winter day. A little sun. Went to the P.O. for a special delivery letter (from Dansville) & then to the church for Mother (with Ruth
) & then we all went to the Whitcomb House to dinner & out to the Art Gallery after. Decided to go to D.
Wednesday & got our suit cases, clothes &c. to see how my things went in - figured, wrote & read.
