364DECEMBER 21 Wed 1910 Mother went to church tonight to a committee meeting where they decided to call the Man from Leroy to succeed Dr. Miller. Later we finished the boys two scrapbooks Mother has made. Late to bed of course. Went to Marguerite's Kintergarten party. Thurs 1911 Fine morning. Right after breakfast ourn Ernest Rainier
came & we drove to St. Georges - a most lovely ride thro' the town & lovely country. Along the Edge of Harrington sound and stopped at Dent's Hole to hear the amusing old man & see the angel & other, fish, &c. Then to Castle Grotto, [illegible] Cave. Blue [illegible] Moore's House across the Causeway & to [illegible] to dinner. Saw Str. friends there. Then walked up to St. George's terrace to see the magnificent view. House by the shore road - in the rain. Ernest got us Holly from "the onliest place on the Island" it grew. Had a nice evening with the boarders - who are pleasant.
Sat 1912 Nice day. Lunched with Bess. Came home rather early this p.m. and did up Xmas packages. Coralyn
went home this a.m.
Sun 1913 Claude just home from N.Y. after a pleasant day or two. He went to be godfather to Harrys baby - John Burke
. Visited & dined there. Did up Xmas presents home.
Mon 1914 Awfully late up this a.m. The Walter Hampden's baby was born dead the other day - a lovely boy - I lunched alone & this p.m. Herbert Stern took me to the new Regent Theatre. Later I met Irene & we took a long walk on the East side (delivering parcels &c) Some 'phone visits tonight.
