140MAY 19 Thurs. 1910 Much speculating as to whereby we missed the comet's tail entirely orphan yet to go thro' it! a lovely bright clear cool day. Home to lunch (ride ups with Frieda) late tonight (Hippodrome) & very tired Father read new Hampton's & I went to my room at 10 Frieda is to have Keller fix up the yard. Mrs Pringle was up for a little visit tonight - my cats are dears Fri. 1911 Real warm with one hard thunderstorm this am Claude & Tappan home Mr. Hutchins of the Lyceum Players was in this room to borrow some "property" blue prints & specifications Mr. Hampden came in this pm. with Claude & staid a long while so handsome charming quite fine. He invited me to a rehearsal. & both of us to the "Servant in the house" tonight I went along with Claude & sat in D and enjoyed it immensely in some ways even better than on Tuesday. up late Sun. 1912 Cold day. This morning Herma brought "Toodles" up to hear the music box - Miss Jacquish was at Cro'nest first time I've seen her. She seemed very refined & nice - we took the children over to the park for a walk (took the cart) the tulips were beautiful &c. to the crab apple & quinces &c. & some of the lilacs out. Went to Davis & had a delightful visit with Helen & the rest. Mrs. B. & Lura came later - came home to eat & write &c. Mon. 1913 Lovely day. Amelie told me she was going to give Jim a chafing dish set! We are working on Michael Stern factory spec. tonight Mrs. Laffray and Lydia
came over & played "Ruin" Staid quite late I got Beaten of course! am reading a fool library book. Claude in N.Y.
Tues. 1914 Warm. We are planning a nice auto trip for Memorial Day if it only don't rain!) Played Flinch with the company tonight - a nice game
