361DECEMBER 18 Sun 1910
A lovely sunny morning. We
slept late & I was awfully behind on my various "jobs" - but got up
to dear Claudes for dinner at 1:30.
Claude quite tired out. (I think) The boys
were simply lovely. Lots of toys from
"Swartz's" to them & Letitia & the new tobogan came down to Clarissa
St. with us. I did up packages - figured - sewed &c. It is
melting! The cats all lovely too!
Mon 1911
It was very rough in the night
& a horrid rainy day. Letitia was
sick & was in her str. chair on her berth all day. I sat with the boys -
read the book Chattie gave them &
this p.m. after listening to a concert (with the boys) we took
Gordon Andrews (a 4. yr old from
Winipeg) & went down into the dining room &
played "boats". I cross-stitched. The boys came to the dinner table with me
for the first time. I wrote later - bed early.
Wed 1912
And lots of shopping. Lunching
and general festivities. (to our rooms!) early & some - and
read in bed.
Thurs 1913 Ruth Sandford of Dansville
called me up today and came to lunch with me. We had a real nice
chat. She is an interesting girl & making a fine thing of their postal
cards.
Fri 1914
Fine winter day. Lunched with
Amelie
& Mrs. Stewart at the lunch club
at the Seneca and this p.m. Went to Nan's for a brushing & this evening to a - huge
dinner at Carolyn's
