223AUGUST 2 Tues 1910
Lovely again. Dear Father knows he is going. He asked me how he
looked this morning I told Claude about
his things and that he saw faces. I staid down to Sibley's at noon. Had a long talk with Amelie - just back from the
Yellowstone. Tonight Mother hadn't gone. Had been there all day. Mr.
Forman came. He loves & admires Father very much. It was very hard day for me.
Wed 1911
A hot "soggy" day. We went to
Cro'nest to dinner with the children
(Chan was cross!) and then sat out &
talked about cobourg & decided to go to-
morrow, in spite of the weather!
Fri 1912
Cold & lovely - a little
cloudy - spent a lovely morning under a tree over an "Raspberry Bluff" (beyond
the "haunted house") with Mrs. Ancona - both
reading. It sprinkled some. After lunch read in the summer- house and then
went over & saw a great ball game- between the "Buffalos's"
& "Toronto's" - score 14 to 11 in 4 plays! The cook and
Steve chase were pitchers! Then went over to
Mrs. Fraser's cottage for a visit - came back and
washed my hair and finished "Tante" and then spent the evening in
front of the fire - not much dancing tonight - bed at 9:30 again!
Sat 1913 Letitia & the children off to
Putneyville today.
Edith Andrews Clark & Dorothy
Davidson called & I saw them again at Station (was asked to
lunch) I went up to Conesus and to the
Edward's camp. The girls were just eating supper - on the
veranda - & were sonice. The place is beautiful - views &c. We took
a lovely
row to Excelsior Springs & back in the dark. I had a
lovely big room to myself - fine cold night.
see mem Mon 1914 Aug 3
Lovely day. The girls shopped &c. and we all lunched with Mother - who was with them some of the p.m.
At 5 we 3 went to the Bay - out by boat - to the
"Y" to supper - over to Charlotte on the "Glenn" - A
lovely sunset & moonlight - toOntario Beach
Park & finally home to much need to rest.
