299OCTOBER 17 Mon 1910 Still lovely very strenous for CFB getting the Ch. of Com. float finished for the parade (tomorrow.) I kept busy too. Saw Mr. Philips (H.G.) in elevator this a.m. Going to Cutlers. He got out & we had quite a talk. Tonight read and sat by the fire. We had one tho' it wasn't cold. Mother got a bad cold Sunday furnace fire is out. Sun 1911 Cloudy & poured all the afternoon. Came up home & lunched with Edith. Saw her purchases. She packed & went home tonight. I went to the Hippodrome - was late to supper. Read all evening Thurs 1912 Still lovely. Perfect October weather. Lunched down again. We are planning Portage for Sunday. Lydia Fox and I. Fri 1913 I took our boy to School this morning (Jim had Tappan's friend - the Ralph Mathews
 (Mary Hill) here for the day). & at noon I went after them & put them on a car for home. Then lunched at Sibley's with Florence & had a nice talk & read a long letter (20) E.A.S. Mary Braun packing up to go home for good! Sat 1914 Clearing. Irene and Florence lunched with me today - such a nice one. Came home till 4:30 & then to the train (another too) Ella Durney went to the wrong station (!) & didn't come. We 3 got to Bommansville at 7:10. Mr. & Mrs. Cooke & Mr. Jas & Lewis met us - such a dinner! Such a house! Such a nice people! &c. &c. Bed at 12:00 or so.
