172JUNE 20 Mon 1910 Lovely summer day. Lunched with Hanna at Sibley's. He is anx- ious to go west. (More about "Ann") Tonight went over to call on the Tappans with Bess & Mary. Had a nice call. Mrs. T.
told us about, centerville - Jim was there & came home within Lovely moonlight.
Tues 1911 mem Perfect June day. Mother went to a church picnic at Sea Breeze & I joined her this p.m. We saw some races (& Mrs. Mullingan's baby) and talked &c. Then I took Mother down to newport on the boat. Saw some college classes playing ball - came back. Walked to White City ([illegible]! 3/4 miles on shore &c.) Rested at Mary's tent & finally got home to an eleven o'clock lunch! It was a perfect day to be out doors &c. Thurs 1912 Lovely day. Nana here all day, windy her poor face & eye. I came home to lunch & tonight went over on Rowe's piazza for a little while After Nana went to bed we played flinch. I finished "Christopher". Republican Convention still doing nothing. Fri 1913 Sewed &c. Jimlooks fine but is too busy to hardly speak. Mrs. Carnahan after him. She gives a nice luncheon at the Country Club for Helen & Louise tomorrow. Rain. Sat 1914 Fine & cool went up & took tea house pictures this a.m. & this p.m. spent in Seneca Park with the boys! Animals, swan boats, birds - The Gorge walk pictures &c. &c. Ruth
left this p.m. a nice supper alone with Mother.
