Fine rain this morning. Muggy
later.
Claude & the dear Babies got home from
N.Y.
& came to see Gran'ma this p.m.
Read & sewed tonight. Preparing for the fray (at the office)
tomorrow!
Tues 1911 Mother went to a Missy. meeting. It
rained. I lunched with Lura &
Mrs. B. at Sibley's. Very busy in office. Hippo.
at 5.
Nellie Mac's birthday.
Thurs 1912
Nice day. Tonight Marguerite
(on
Corris
tickets) took me to see Augustus Thomas' new play
(first night) "When it Comes Home". I enjoyed it. The Author
made a speech. Thos Dixon Jr. was wander- ing about. The
theatre was very full and their were differing opinions about the play.
Fri 1913
Dark & showery and very
warm toward night. Channie still
very weak & Minnie
this p.m. & was just about used up when I got home - but
went to Cro'nest to dinner & then
down to hear "Pete McQueen" (a sort of a Kipling-man) lecture on
Africa - Sat with the Arnolds & Miss
Gucher.
