338NOVEMBER 25 Fri 1910 Busy. Did banking &c. at noon and at night it poured & I got my feet so wet going to Sibley's & Smiths with books that I had to go home & take a hot bath & spent a - short - evening in my bathrobe reading. Went to the Hippodrome earlier. Sat 1911. At noon lunched with Bess & Mary (& Lura was there some) then "gadded" & shopped all the p.m. Jim & I spent over an hour in Scrantom's. Bought "Peter & Wendy" for Henry. Went back to Duffy's &c. & too the library. It was fearfully slippery coming home - snow. Tonight loafed, read, wrote &c. Mon 1912 Rode down with Mrs. L. Still very wintry. A nice letter from Claude who lectured in N.Y. yesterday. Mrs. L.

Tues 1913 Shopped this noon. Hippodrome & [illegible] to lunch. Tonight Miss Kingsley invited Mother & me to a nice Turkey dinner on the Mechanics . It was very good. Later I read aloud to them from the Century. Wed 1914 Lovely morning. Went down to "my lady's" with some sunny flowers to welcome her. She phoned me later to come to lunch but I lunched with Marguerite - just starting for Dansville - & then went down to 363 Lake Ave. for half an hour's visit. Irene came at 4:30 and walked way out to Florence's with me (nearly) Mother was there & we had a nice supper & a nice visit ( F & I in the Kitchen) & home between (9:30)
