Mr. Ward, Miss OtisDr. Hoyt - that's all I can think of - I think 36 came,
(a Miss Mullin - came by the
Ellwangers didn't) at the dinner last night were,
Mrs. Walter Smith, CFB, Mr. &
Mrs. Hampden, Judge Werner,
Dr. & Mrs. Roby & Dr. & Mrs. Wesley Mulligan.
(Walter S. didn't come!! JBA said why)
19 suggested he name the Stern house "Dahlstrom Hall"
& he has been dickering with the Dahlstrom - Metallic Door
Co. so long about, metal sash! S. said if the did they'd give him
the sash - they come down in the price every time he speaks to them!
Dec 31 1913.
Reading old journals
nowadays. They half reveal - and half - conceal my real self - but I'm
rather glad I kept them - Silly as some are. I've made up my mind
however that this will be the last - as the bests of
my life must have past I think is from 26 to 29
(or 25 to 35!) not right witness 1914 & after!!
19 Before I end this I want to say I am Happy! & have learned how to be -
by myself & by being with my "dear heart"
C.U. & with the prospect of being alone
in business with Claude this next year
& because I love and am loved - Dear
Mother of course. Eugenie Smiles on me, &
