319NOVEMBER 6 Sun 1910 Some sunshine this a.m. but cold later. I did all sorts of odd jobs this a.m. & Mother & I went to Cro'nest to dinner - tho' Claude was out (to Sibley's) Nanna went out & we had two of the goodest little boys all the p.m. I went down to Lura's about 5. The Pringle's were in the car. Chat & Frances came to supper (such a good one) and I stayed all the evening & Lura told me her (business) troubles and I told her all the funny stories I'd think of. Letters, later. Mon. 1911 Jim back at the office for the first time & very welcome. CFB not feeling firstrate (world). It poured this p.m. Had quite a visit with Mary
(after a busy day) Did my cash acct. before supper and read and sewed afterward.
Wed 1912 Rain. I am staying down to lunch mostly now-a-days Lydia
read evening & we sew awhile & then retire to our rooms to read or sleep.
Thurs 1913 Warm & lovely. Went up & got the boys this p.m. & took them to the flower Show. Met Mama there later (also Mrs. Mc- Laughlin &c. &c.) I took the boys to the office & Claude took them home (Jim had a puncture) Mr. Moorepark & Mr. Gareissen dined at C's. I read &c. Tooth hurts some
Fatal day!
Fri. 1914 A gay day. Went to lunch with C.U. and Winifred Smith was there. Had a long talk in the Balcony after. Went to dinner at Florence. EAS, Irene, Miss Emery
- Lon Case. Miss Otnot (postal offices) Miss McElroy (policeman.) Miss Zachert (libriarian). EAS asked me to ride home but I walked with Irene & talked. It was a mix-up all around. Florence was going.
