240AUGUST 19 Fri 1910 Great day. Claude came in a carriage at 8 & then left later for Buffalo. Letitia & the children and Mother & I went on the Coburg train and steamer and were gone till nearly midnight with the boys - a perfect day. Had a stateroom - dinner room. Siestas. Coburg 2 to 6. Shopped played in sand Nanna & I went to Horse show in the shore - fine - took "Fisher Wellmore's" picture. Supper on boat in harbor - lovely sunset & moonrise. Children sleep on deck - Home in carriage to Cro'nest & bath. False alarm of fire. Met the Crapsey's. Sat 1911 Lovely Mother got home from Old Home week in Dansville. Everyone said her "Reminiscences" were the best at the Coterie reception. She had a fine time. The Rowes came too. Busy all the a.m. (closing up) Claude took Sherby
to the "Honey Boy Ministrels" I got ready for the Saguenay all the p.m. & evening (nearly) Marguerite was over a little while & Mother had lots to tell me.
mem Tues 1912 Cooler & not so cloudy. Mother had Autumn Chapter here and I lunched with Klemmy Goodyear at Duffy's Cafeteria. She told me about Mrs. Emma N. Allen's "Island Farm" (Russell Is.) which is fine. I had a postal from Mary D. with congratulations about my Herald Vacation Story & from Mary Mac about her Vacation - in Montreal at & Big Moose. Letitia & the boys got home (ahead of the schedule) last night. Meta & the twins
at home from Sacketts Harbor. Lura & Chattie called tonight.
Tues 1913 Fine, cool, lovely day. Big surf. Spent the day on the Bar - Sun baths - reading & X=stitch work. Mr. S. brought me mail & we made postals. This p.m. had a fine bath in the big surf & dressed up for supper (an auto-party arrived) Had our usual sunset - starlight - moonrise siesta on the bluff & "early to bed". Wed 1914 Lunched with Bess. Troubles! Her sister's husband dying &c. &c. Rode home tonight, sewed &c.
