It turned cool, in the night
& was a welcome change, lovely day. Claude
brought the boys down this a.m. & Nana
called for them. Went to the hospital
alone pm. Father had a good night. Had
a talk with
Dr. Show. Went to Claude's office from 11 to 1.
Mother went to H. this afternoon. I rested wrote &c. Tonight we went up
to Cobbs Hill. Walked round the
reservoir, watched the sunset, lights, fireworks &c. &c. It was beautiful.
Tues 1911.
Went up to Cro'nest Early. Claude real sick but wouldn't have me stay. Went to
Reinhardts and told him & he said he'd postpone
conference (tomorrow) Went to Chat to
office & then to "Camp Merrimac". In bathing with
Bess & Mary & Dolores & the
McGraths, good dinner &c. (cool there) then to
Cro'nest. Claude some letter. He & I watched the "Ki-rockards" from
steamer chairs are the neighbors & guests, Nana, Children & Mother
went over. Lovely moonlight.
Thurs 1912
Started off with Theo, Meta & the Ferris at 7.
This a.m. to Canandaigua. & took the
"Ojarita" up to Camp Iola The boy scout's camp.
(Col. Morethrope
) met him Don. Frey, Don
MacMarters, Raymond Mills &c saw the
flagpole raising. Had a fine "swim" & a good lunch in Davis' tent ("Bon Ami") & came home in a
"private launch" rest after a storm. The lake & The lightning were lovely.
Got home by 6. rested & then all of us went to Warner
Park (met Mother but not
the boys) & said perfect fireworks. An ideal night.
Fri 1913
A camp dinner today. We waited
in had "Charlie's" big boat for a shower to pass &
then to go into Mr. Gerkins (?) to avoid another one.
Then went up beautiful
Shawanagee
river. Fished at the flume. Miss Fiely went stepped on a snake! Had a delightful
dinner in a lumber snack. A sail up & down the river under the aroming.
Picked up the fishermen and had a lovely ride home
on the front deck. Some rain but delightful. Sat on Veranda &c. Saw
Mrs Davis' rooms. Slept fine in No. 6. Sunset from town
Sat 1914.
Perfect weather for the 4th.
Which was a quite one. Mother & I
are enjoying life alone now-a-days. I went up on the Hill
early this p.m. & sat in the tea house all the p.m. reading &
working & talking (E not back yet)
Mother Came to dinner & We all went over
to the hill for day fireworks & band concert (in new place) & I
went back & sat with "Marie
for the
real fireworks - which were fined!
