323NOVEMBER 10 Thurs 1910.
Pouring rain this a.m.
Waited at canal 20 minutes (in the car) Rushed all day - a dark one. Gilmore
came in & tonight had quite a visit with Mary
. The children went to a party at Willard's
& came down in their carriage (alone) at noon (it was too early for
them). Wrote envelopes & worked all the evening.
Accts &c. The new book & specifications make lots of work.
Fri. 1911
A horrid rainy morning - but
cleared off in the p.m. Claude brought
W.H.in after lunch - as nice as ever.
He "uses two pistols at once" in the new play. Claude gave a dinner for them tonight. Mother went to the Central
Church 75th Anniversary & I to Lura's to dine with Florence
Penfield, Lura has 2 new coats.
Sun 1912
Never woke till 8:30! A Lovely day. A walk in South Park with Lydia
(the wood path) Then walked to Cro'nest to dinner & we took both boys down to the
Yates Farm
(Elm Tree) on the Latta Road this p.m. To
see Mrs. Adams & the 6 boys - flower beds,
lakes, animals, &c. &c. Back after 6. dark, Lydia
had supper ready. Mother in bed!
Mon 1913 Nice day. Lunched with
Mary and Bess at Sibley's.
Read aloud tonight to
Mother & Miss K. Tues. 1914
Cold. Lunched with C.U. at
Sibley's & we talked
N.Y. &c. Dr.
Daily was there & they had a long discussion afterwards.
Brought me a hat - which I took to McCurdy's tonight.
A long 'phone from I.W.EAS is hers all right! (woe is
me!)
