Tues. 1910 Very foggy this morning. Everyone but the Taits and I got up at four and about 5 the boys, Elsie & Will & Mr.K - started for the lower camp. Mr. K. & the boys for Mohegan. I was up where they got back but our breakfast was late. After awhile Will took us in the launch down to the trail to Codney clearing - for beech nuts. The engine balked going home & scared Edith. After dinner lay in the hammock & read. Then went bass fishing with Will & Bob
- caught 3. Then read "Mary Cary" aloud - outdoors & in. I never saw a lovelier afternoon - beautiful colors & clouds & the lake very calm. Played "Sally Ann" & went to bed 8:30 - all of us I read the Echo fine! 8 times
Wed. 1911 Another lovely day. Was sick - dizzy - this a.m. but managed to get down about nine. Lunched with Lura & walked thro' some "openings". Claude to the children. Nana & the Khedkars to the Exposition this p.m. I did errands & walked home thro' Livingston Park after writing a lot of Claude's fine "Four-Space" stuff. Read magazines tonight Fri. 1912 Warm and nice. Lovely moon & fine October weather. (The kind that makes me blue!). [illegible] Sat. 1913 Lovely day "Mary" (Braun) was going to the horse show with me, but was sick & I went alone & got a lovely seat in a box in the further stand. Tremendous crowd and a fine snow. I saw "Skyscraper" (Liftons) go over 7 ft. like a bird! I also saw one of my pictures in the Kodak exhibit and called on Mrs. Baker & Lura & stopped at Edith's but she wasn't home. Read tonight. Carnaham & Corey's with Amelie this a.m. & Jim. Sun. 1914 Lovely day & warm. Went down to Augustine St. this a.m but they were not home. Then stopped to see Edith new room with alcove at Bottles (nice!) This p.m. Marguerite came with her cousins pictures & all & staid to supper. We had such a nice time. She looked very pretty in white & blue!
