303OCTOBER 21 Fri 1910
Nice day. Herbert Caswell came in this noon &
Claude invited him up to dinner
with Mother & I tonight - He is
looking for a place for Gurdon &
Claude
is sending him to Mr. Scranton of Hayden's - who have a good opening. He came
home with us & we had a grate fire and a nice visit. The Boys were
dear - as usual.
Sat 1911
"Unsettled" This p.m. I look
Henry, Chan to the lake after lunching there. We played in the sand -
Henry wrote his name & we made
a castle &c &c. Some "y" (curly) girls lent him a sweater to have his
picture taken in. Almost everybody went to the Frisbie
benefit aviation much & saw Blacky do astonishing
stunts. Claude gave a dinner party tonight.
I walked down from there - went to bed & rather early - Marguerite was over, planing tomorrow.
Mon 1912
Beautiful day and a busy one -
"Wash day" Claude back from
N.Y. after a lovely time with Eugenie, Mrs. RussakWalter & "Mab"
at
Meta's tonight & then read and played
flinch with Mother - pretty tired!
Tues 1913
Lunched late today
(Kleins) & went to
Mc.Curdy's for shoes. Rode home with Jim - Read "The Inside of the
cups" - but am getting a little tired of it.
Felix is lovely - saw Marguerite's room this pm.
Wed 1914
A gorgeous day. This p.m. we
had the "bus" & went to Amelie's
reception which was very nice - saw May
Stull & Helen Wray &c. We took
Mrs. Strickland for the ride. This evening. I went
over to Davis's saw Chat &
Mrs. Baker & put her on the car. Then to
Florence's where I saw Irene & we had a "Huzzle coo" & I
walked way home with her. She made love to me!
