314NOVEMBER 1 Tues 1910 mem Quite warmish & lovely. CFB has a horrible cold & went home early this p.m. I felt awfully tired all day. Got the enlargements of Father & Mother's pictures from Lew Jones & they are lovely. Claude says equal to Gertrude Kassebier! (Jim too.) Went to Claude's to a Halloween's party. was lovely - pumpkins - popcorn &c. I never saw the children lovelier. Henry so talkative. He calls more "mucher" & lower "downer" &c. Read "Kingsmead" awhile & wrote Wed 1911. Nice day as to weather. Hustled to Miss Colegrove's tonight to be tried on. She scolded about her young (nephew?) "ward" - 6 years old. Over to Marguerite's & few minutes. Miss Canaby Miss Nash & Miss Darly there called on Jim at noon. Fri 1912 Cooler. Rain this a.m. Lunched with Lura. Lydia
had company. Mrs. Gertrude Adams of Yates Farm. Latta Road. She got supper. In the evening visited with them & Carlin. Did cross stitch &c. Gelett Burgess to come to Claude's tonight. I have a lovely new Underwood. I own $5500 of it and the firm the balance! (traded)

Sat 1913. Lovely day but a cold wind. Sibley's to lunch (happened to sit with Miss Sheton) Then to "Caps". We walked to the Art Gallery. Went to the Football game (under the torn - up canvas. Then to a [illegible]) to Lura's shop. Then I went to dinner with Mary
. With Miss Landon
(Security Trust) and then we went to Lura's home. Had a nice visit. Florence Rogers was there too.
Sun 1914 A beauteous day. Was to meet Marguerite for a walk but she couldn't go. I wrote letters and did cash accts. &c. Went out to dinner with Mother at 4. I am going to join Irene at the Art Gallery Did & we walked out to Belmont St. Irene to Florence's & I to Chattie's. Had a "nice little talk but didn't stay long. Irene's little love talks all quite inspiring. Wish I cd. live up to them!
