114APRIL 23mem
Sat 1910 Cooler & rain today - Poured
tonight!
J.G. told me all about the St.
Louis conference. Yesterday (2 of the principal here) It comes
to nothing. They have a new attorney & new tactics but won't sell
out for less than $93,000. Mrs. A
went up to see the children. Tonight I saw "St. Lewis" at
Hippo. Frieda has
notified the Pringles
that she wants the flat - below us. Arno was over. Read "Everybody's" & did
accounts tonight. [illegible] talked to me about Jack
.
Sun 1911
Nice chilly April day. Woke
up at 5 & finished "Peter Ibbetson" (my favorite novel)
for the "seventh time".
Claude's to dinner & the dear babies. Then to the office to develop 6 good
pictures today and last Sunday - wrote all the evening.
Tues 1912
A regular blizzard during the
night & early this morning out till sun came out later - tho' the
wind stayed strong & cold. It was a lovely night - mother & I went
out to Claude's (lonesome) house to a
nice dinner & he rode down with us afterward. To bed rather early -
front room. Claude to Supervise the
Rochester Art Gallery
. (Mr. Gade here)
Wed 1913.
Rain in till night & this
morning. Mrs. Ramsdell is going to build a house
for Jim! Poor little Chan
had a big adnoid taken out today - I went down there tonight. Claude went to New
York. The Rowe's are going to move May 1.
Thurs 1914
Nice bright day. Walked down
this a.m. Went to banks &c. down town this noon and lunched with
Chattie at the White
Kitchen.
