" & then sat & talked to Mrs. Rowe on the piazza. A while & then read "Hamptons". Awfully sleepy. Mrs. Rowe & Mr Bridgeman both very complimentary today! Jo. came
Wed 1911 The worst day of all 101 degrees in the shade 3 times broke all records. Claude had a relapse last night & was so sick all day he had the Dr. again of his own accord! I was busy with Rheinhardt & Tappan on estimates their p.m. & went down & I wrote them tonight. The per- spiration ran off my face in streamers. Went home & redressed & went to Cro'nest to stay all night out doors. Claude some quieter after dark. Fri 1912 Warm. & a hard shower this p.m. Which cooled it off little. I went to the Hippodrome and there home to bread and milk. Sewed a little, but didn't do much but sit on the piazza & cool off. Sat 1913 Warmer, but a foggy morning. Another camp party but Florence staid home & Mrs. D.G. went. to sturgeon Bay. A nice fishing trip with Mr
& Mrs. Ashley and a guide this a.m. Caught 3 good fish - one a bass - A real shore dinner. Then it got so hot we went home. Packed &c. & had an early supper & a lovely boat ride (Trutters & Davises too.) till 10! o'clk. Went to hole in the Grall & finished at Jack M.'s
Store. Later dancing on dock, ice cream, &c. &c. nice party!
Sun 1914 Nice day (warmer) Read & made cake this a.m. We had a nice dinner at home. After- ward I went over to say good bye to Florence McL. (going to Algonquin Park to Irene Winans tonight) & then to Augustine Street (only Aunt Clara
